That's right, Silent Hill: Homecoming has been rated by the BBFC, and given the age-rating of 18. That makes Silent Hill 4: The Room, and Homecoming the only Silent Hill games in the UK to get such a high rating. On the site for it, they have a little nice red text saying "This work was passed without any cuts made." Good for us. This is also great news in another way, it means that Silent Hill: Homecoming is more than likely finished, seeing as you are not allowed to send in unfinished material to the BBFC. Check out the site for it, but as of now, there is no word on what warranted the 18-rating.
Looks like the September-release is more then likely happening.
Talkplaystation.com has got ahold of Konami's presentation line-up for the upcoming Leipzig Convention. And, Silent Hill: Homecoming will be there. Probably in both playable form, and in a stage presentation form. Lead by none other then Thomas Hulett (Associate Producer of Silent Hill: Homecoming, and Silent Hill: Origins). Hopefully something new and even more interesting will come here, as more information will be told.
Do you have any questions for the Silent Hill: Homecoming's Lead-designer Jason Allen? Ever had something gnawing at the back of your head that you're just dying to find out? Have you ever though that if the opportunity arised to ask him a question, you would ask it? If your answers is yes, then this might be your lucky day.
Days after E3, what can one say? It's really hard to keep up with everything going on and all the new stuff being shown. But not for Kotaku, who managed to get a little view of Silent Hill: Homecoming. Not only that, but it is officialy confirmed for PC aswell as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Does it end there with official statements? No. Our favourite pointy-headed rapist is back and will play a part of Alex's story in this upcoming installment.
While that was going, a new gameplay-video got posted on the internet again. This time by the cool cats at Gamersyde. Head over there and check it out, but there's a chance you will ruin into spoilers. Click here afterwards to discuss what you just saw.
Aah, E3, every videogamers Christmas (except for REAL christmas of course) where games are constantly hyped up and shown. This is good for the Silent Hill fanbase, seeing as Konami attented with Double Helix, and a couple of new videos of Silent Hill: Homecoming got released to the public. First out is the official E3-trailer where you get a glimpse of the story, some new monsters, and new characters. You might want to check it out, and then head over here to talk to us about it.
But an E3-trailer is NOT everything we got. We also got a couple of new gameplay-videos, consisting of, well, gameplay and monsters. Now, that's scary. Can we make it scarier though? Maybe more claustrophobic? Well, combine gameplay, monsters and a fully functioning elevator, and you get some intense moments. After you're done watching those, we'd love your input about it in this thread.
We have to say though, this starts to shape up rather nicely.
The site GamersUniverse got a little chat with lead-designer Jason Allen that was posted on their homepage. It reveals some small info about how the game had to avoid an A.O(Adults Only)-rating, they talk a little about how combat works with target-cycling, and how they want Homecoming to still retain the original Silent Hill-feeling and not a complete new identity, and finally how Homecoming can distinguish itself from other horror-titles currently on the market. It's a good read, rather short, but very sweet. Make a little cup of prefered beverage, relax and enjoy the interview.
Somehow the rumored boxart for Silent Hill: Homecoming found it's way to the Internet the other day. It looks good, and it looks official. But with all other things in life, it can always be changed to something else. What do YOU think about how it looks? Share your opinions.
Seems like more and more information and pictures constantly shows up for Silent Hill: Homecoming these days. The closer we get to September (the announced month for release of Silent Hill: Homecoming), the more information we get. This time, head over to this thread for some chilling concept art, and a new video.
Head on over to this thread to watch a 13 minute video of Alex exploring his misty hometown. Nothing really spoilerish but unless you count information we've known for 6+ months spoilers I think its safe to proceed
Jeuxvideo.fr managed to get their little paws on two new gameplay videos from Silent Hill: Homecoming. Not only do they show some new stuff, but also it seems like the game IS getting more and more polished. Be warned though, there is a slight chance you will get thrown out of the experience seeing as they are constantly narrated. See the videos here , then go on and discuss it in our thread .
